How old do you have to be to become a member of the Boy Scouts of America?

Cub Scouts starts out at first grade, many local schools and churches have scouting programs, be sure to ask if your School or Church sponsor a unit

 

How do I join a unit?

You can click on the Joining info button to the left, and follow the links to to the local unit locator and click on the map of the Racine/Kenosha area you live to find units in your area

 

Do you have to be an outdoor enthusiast to be part of the Scouting Program?

The Boy Scout program has several areas of interest. The foundation of the program was based on outdoor skills, but today the program covers a wide variety skills and interests. Examples such as Sailing, Engineering, Medical, Police Science and beyond. If you have an interest, contact our office and we can direct you to a program that would fit your interests

 

The program sounds great, can girls belong to the Boy Scouts of America?

YES, many people associate the Boy Scouts to be for Boys only, but there are many older youth programs for both male and females.
